Leep vs RingConn Gen 3

The short answer

Neither ring needs a subscription. RingConn Gen 3 does more: up to 14 days of battery, 100 m water resistance, free cycle and fertility tracking, sleep apnea insights and blood-pressure trends. The Leep Ring costs less (£199 against about £309), is thinner, ships from the UK and comes with 30-day no-quibble returns. Choose RingConn for the longest feature list, or Leep for a simpler, cheaper ring focused on sleep.

Leep and RingConn are two of the few smart rings that never ask for a monthly fee, so this comparison comes down to what you get for the one-off price. RingConn Gen 3, launched in May 2026, is RingConn's most advanced ring and packs in more health features than Leep. The Leep Ring costs about £110 less, is slightly thinner and is built around one job: helping you understand and improve your sleep.

Here is how they compare on price, battery life, tracking, women's health and buying in the UK. If you are also looking at subscription rings, see Leep vs Oura Ring 5 and Leep vs WHOOP.

What Leep does

Leep is built sleep-first. Its sleep insights follow World Sleep Society guidelines and focus on trends over weeks rather than single-night scores, because one night rarely tells you much. Heart rate, HRV, temperature and activity all feed into the same picture: how well you are recovering and what is affecting your nights.

Everything in the Leep app is included in the £199 price. There are no paid tiers or add-ons. The ring is aerospace-grade titanium with a hypoallergenic resin lining, and it syncs with Apple Health and Google Fit so your workouts from other apps can sit alongside your sleep data.

Buying is simple in the UK: Leep ships from the UK with free delivery, sends a free sizing kit if you don't know your size, and offers no-quibble returns within 30 days.

What RingConn Gen 3 does

RingConn Gen 3 aims to cover as much as possible without a subscription. Alongside the usual sleep, heart rate, HRV, SpO2 and temperature tracking, it adds sleep apnea pattern insights from blood oxygen sampled every two seconds, VO2 max, a weekly Lifestyle Score, an AI health assistant and automatic workout detection.

Two features are new for Gen 3. Vascular health trends estimate blood-pressure trends rather than single readings, and need calibrating with a blood-pressure cuff three times on the first day and then every 28 days. Vibration alerts can nudge you about health alerts, sitting too long or low battery while the app is connected. RingConn says the ring is not a medical device. In October 2026 it announced FDA 510(k) clearance for blood-oxygen measurement; the sleep apnea feature is not cleared as a diagnosis.

Women's health features are free: RingConn predicts cycle phases from skin temperature, sends period reminders and, since February 2026, estimates fertile windows. RingConn itself says the ring should not be treated as an ovulation detector.

No. Both rings work fully without a subscription. Leep includes every app feature in the £199 price, and RingConn says none of its rings need a subscription.

Which ring has the longer battery life?

RingConn Gen 3 lasts up to 14 days (10–12 days with vibration alerts on). The Leep Ring lasts up to 8 days. Both come with a charging case: Leep's holds 60+ days of backup power, and RingConn quotes 150+ days of extra battery.

Does RingConn Gen 3 track periods? Does Leep?

Which ring is better for sleep tracking?

Both track sleep stages, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen and skin temperature overnight. RingConn adds sleep apnea insights and respiratory rate.
